First off, I want to say that I couldn't get my hands on a digital camera in time, but used my BlackBerry. I think the images turned out fine and will be usable. What do you think?
Also, I tried to take the photos of my scar, the verecose vein on my right calf, from different angles, with different lighting, and with different camera settings.
The first was taken from a downward, close up angle using the close-up setting, which really sharpened the texture of the veins.
The second was taken from a downward angle from a bit further away with the close-up setting, which also sharpened the texture of the vein. It also produced a cool lighting effect.
The third is a repeat. Haha, sorry about that!!!
The forth is a close up- side view, but instead of using the close up setting, I used the night one to see what it would do.
The fifth is a further-away semi-side view, using the night setting.
I'm not sure which image to use for my final project. I'm leaning toward the forth because of the rich texture. In my opinion, you can almost "feel" the pain this scar causes me.
I'm thinking of doing something like the "One and Three Chairs" image we saw in class, and using the photo of my vein, next to a diagram of a vericose vein, explained medically, next to a dictionary definition of the scar. What do you all think???
